Getting bored of 3DXChat and seen all that the sexy ladies at OculusRealPorn.com currently have to offer (at least for now)? Popular porn platform SugarDVD has made an announcement today via escapistmagazine and venturebeat that they are planning on implementing our favorite VR headset into their streaming porn service, and hope to have a demo of their new interactive Oculus application ready to show at the Los Angeles Electronic Entertainment Expo early next month.
Given their reputation for penetrating (*ahem*) various platforms (so far they support Android, Boxee, Google TV, IPad/Iphone, PS3/PS4, Roku, Wii U, Xbox One; and of course PC and Mac.) it’s no big surprise that the netflix-esque porn giant has decided to make a move to what is almost now certain to be the next big thing in entertainment; and given their massive success in everything else that is XXX, it’s no stretch to imagine they will do just as good a job giving Virtual Reality users the kind of interactive porn experience we have been hoping for.
As of this writing it is still unclear as to exactly what SugarDVD have planned; they are working together with Los Angeles motion-capture studios so it sounds like they are planning on doing something much more interesting and immersive than the regular 120° and 360° headtracking videos we have seen so far; not that those services are bad mind you (I love OculusRealPorn.com) but it will be nice to see just what an established adult company with money to spend can do with the tech.
Currently the website offers its streaming services beginning at just under $8 a month, which makes it super affordable, and with options like pay-per-minute and half-a-dozen different dvd rental plans, you really can’t beat it (well, you know what I mean)! They even have a store which sells an ample assortment of varying sex toys and lubes, although it is unclear on whether or not they will be adding any sort of teledildonics to the mix; although with the Rift support it would certainly make sense, so let’s all keep our fingers crossed.
BOOM! Best news I’ve heard this week. OculusRealPorn is sweet, but needs more content, which I’m sure will come. Hadn’t even heard of this service, which is somewhat surprising… I guess pornhub can keep a person busy for awhile. Interesting stuff for sure. Like to see how creative some of these studios get.
Definitely looking forwards to seeing what these guys do. They are touted as being the number 1 adult DVD rental site on the web, so one would imagine they have the resources to pull it off.
Nice to see some of the big players getting into the space. Should be interesting seeing what comes next.
